Nice things
Apr. 30th, 2009 11:44 pmHad dance class today. This was the first time in a while I had been able to make it (what with school vacation, and the Yiddish show, and Passover, and one week of just heading to bed early instead).
I was very pleased that this week I did not feel like an awkward clump of limbs & body. I could feel what I should be doing and combine moves. I even was mostly satisfied with my arms (generally a huge challenge to me). The teacher praised me on a couple of moves, and one of my classmates was moved to compliment me on my balancing of things on my head.
Yes, balancing things on ones head is a genuine technique taught in this class! (I love balancing things on my head.)
The weather continues to be lovely. I have been able to bike to/from work every day this week! At lunch times, I zip down to the MIT Museum for the "Lunch with a Luminary" series from the Cambridge Science Festival. That's a second bike trip (mini bike trip) each day :-)
The calendar -- or rather the fact that people place things against it -- has been overwhelming me again. I've just about given up even reading livejournal (except occasionally over
brass_rat's shoulder). Definitely want to see Winter's Tale, but why oh why can't T@F ever do a closing matinee?
So glad it's spring
