cook all night till the daylight come!
Apr. 13th, 2009 11:24 pmSo I cooked all Sunday late afternoon and until about 9 or 10pm. I am very proud of myself.
I even did the grocery shopping (a significant chunk of it) the same day. Generally my failure mode, and why I tend to get fridges full of gone icky food, is that I can cook or I can grocery shop -- but not both in the same day! I think the secret to success is that I had previously picked the recipes.
I made lots of tasty food, and I think even enough of it to last me thru the week of lunches and dinners-at-rehearsal. Yay!
Rehearsal? I am running lights for Vardit & Richard's Yiddish Show. It is two shows only, this Sat and a Sun matinee. But it is a tiny venue and already sold out, so don't worry all you people with too-busy weekends :-)
The rest of this week at work (Tues - Thurs) will mostly be training classes. I wonder if they will try to pack in quite as much too much as the first training course. I hope not. I am looking forward to this course because I think it will focus on how to use (and administer) stuff, rather than how to write it yourself (which is more than I want).
Although, eventually I expect to be writing some stuff; unit tests.
