Live blogging the slideshow
Nov. 22nd, 2012 11:34 pmIt is thanksgiving. I am at jonathon's folks', as is our custom. Were all lounging in the living room and watching a slideshow of pictures from jonathon&my wedding. Im typing on the iPad (Steve's, I think) --- it is hard to do capitalization and punctuation... I think I am going to let that slide.
I have looked at the pictures already. Jonathons parents have not. Steve asked for this as our evening entertainment. It's a good idea. We brought a copy of the picture Dvd for them.
But they are not going to get done tonight! It is a lot of pictures! When jonathon and I sat down to watch, we ended up having to take three sessions. Wow. That surprised me because I thought I can look happily at picture for a long time.
Anyway, back to tonight. We had picture watching scheduled for after the turkey leftovers are packed and the dishwasher started. I was finding myself unexcited by the prospect, which surprised me a bit. But it is a long time to watch them and a significant emotional energy expected output.
and I was catching up on lj.
... But as the Images flipped across the screen and especially as jonathons folks recounted good thoughts I warmed to the idea. Jonathons dad steve was impressively ready with the names of my friends and family who he had met. And seeing certain sweet images with jonathon makes me feel warm and sweetly proud and want to hold his hand.
They really liked jonathons tish for one thing. Jonathons mom steffi knew of tisches but they were always men only. I didn't know what I was missing she like to say.
And both of them like to say how amazing our posse of helpers and also the whole community of friends weve formed out here is. Very true. Very true. So amazing people.
