Having my new current favorite breakfast: piece of skillet-bread with Doves&Figs Chocolate Fig Sunshine jam topped with plain goat-milk yogurt.

No, no food-art shot -- then this really would be too much breakfastbloggery.

The bread's a hunk of dough, made in my bread machine the other day and refrigerated since then. I squish the hunk flat, then cook it on a fry-pan/skillet until done. I'm really wasting the fact that this is *yeasted* dough, but hey I like this shape better than a slice from a loaf.

I could sing the praises of the two toppings at softening the yeasty-tart flavor of the bread, and of this orange-fig jam (made with Taza chocolate!) ... but who really cares? Not even me; I just want to enjoy it with my mouth & mind, not my poetry.



Too many things are trying to fit into today. Need to stop trying to "prioritize" and "optimize schedule" but just go do some. And I'll miss the others. So be it.
