Birthday Month

This week's Birthday Month activities involved going out for pool twice. Once, unsuccessfully (a 50-person Harvard group had reserved all those tables), once with co-workers.
Actually, the first pool-trip, which turned into just dinner & beers out, was mostly with co-workers, too. And it was good to spend some time with people who are my pals at work, especially now that our desks have moved farther apart. In my mind, this outing was for "anyone", but since it was very spur-of-the-moment, my invitations didn't go out that broadly.
For the second trip (for which I made table reservations), I especially focused on inviting my team out. I also invited several coworkers from other groups, but in my mind it was "my team socializes". We played three rounds of pool, and had a good time. I had astounding luck with getting the cue-ball to end up in the pocket after every collision!
In between, I cooked tasty braised red-cabbage from farmshare food.
Next week:
"TRON:Legacy" on Monday at the Capitol (open invite)
MFA on Wednesday evening
Thursday: undecided if I want to catch the ENSMB show at Passim, or go to MFA again.
Sadly, the Aquarium---a perennial favorite---has inconvenient hours for a weekday-limited person. I am holding Sunday for dress-(and possibly bra)-shopping.
