yay at work i was smart and figured out how to do something that they thought was technically-impossible. the two engineers say yeah that should work!
plus i'm really digging this "my product's still in development... means it's not in QA" idea. :-) reelaaxin'!
our new qa manager re-assigned me to another project (to help out my friend who will be lead on it), since mine was on hold, but the new one's not going to be ready until Thanksgiving. so i've picked up a little was-on-hold thing to test in the meantime. It's Angelfire, so it lets me play with a login shell again. which is nice.
and hand-in-hand with relaxing about my main project, i had one of the most-productive bi-weekly team meetings for it today, and then spent 4 more hours straight with the Product Manager, going over new pages. And it was fun!
plus he dug out the snacks and fed me Special K with Freeze-dried Strawberry slices. mmm, that stuff is tastey! it helped the fun, too, i think.
and one of the ex-PMs, who'd left the company from our project, called up just to say hi and that was cool. apparently they still keep in touch with each other. i want to keep in touch with my good ex-co-workers who go various places... but i find it hard to do. i get uneasy about what to say.
oh, and did i mention yet that i really like having our new qa manager as a qa manager? i think i did.
okidok. so all is well at work. i just don't see how we are possibly going to release on schedule, but hey, don't borrow trouble.
oh, and i got business cards last week! aww yeah, i am so cool ;-)
