As I continue in my summer-reading project (to re-read high school literature etc), I've been musing. Bobbing around my brain, in draft form are posts/essays on:
Holden Caulfield vs Katniss Everdeen - particularly on the theme of "responsibility"
Tisha B'av and the oceanic depths of time - I'm afraid of the ocean, secretly
Lovesong (Julius Lester), especially the story of NYC black/jewish conflicts around the schools - Trayvon Martin, Tisha B'av, my own obvious yet usually-ignorable racism
Nothing from Grapes of Wrath, yet.
