So, apparently I really wanted to decorate my fingers. Jonathon invited me to accompany him on a brief errand at CVS, and I found myself with 3 new bottles of nail polish by the time he was done in the cards aisle!
I painted my fingers---alternating burgundy and yellow (the new colors)---dressed in brown, and wore my special fez to hand out Halloween candy. I'm pleased to report we had adequate "treats" supplies: all in all 4 standard bags of "fun-size" candies, and we probably could have gotten away with 3.
I like to ask the trick-or-treaters to perform a trick, for additional candy. (I've mellowed, and allow them the first one gratis.) ( Notable tricks: )
When not serving trick-or-treaters, we watched "Sherlock" from PBS on the TiVo. (Side note: On reflection, we'd recorded that because of my misremembering which "brilliant and amoral" show
sovay wanted to watch.) Good choice.
The earlier part of the day was spent at put-in for Patience. That went OK. If I'm truly honest, the Bertucci's pizza held my attention more than the work this time. Eventually, I started getting in a touchy mood (and nervous about sundown trick-or-treaters) and took myself home before we were all done. Oh, I almost went up in "Genie" for the first time.
Jonathon met a new girl-upstairs (not a resident, possibly a girlfriend but possibly a local friend who's crashed over a few times). Jennifer?
