It being Tuesday, and us mostly having our act together, Jonathon & I cooked batches of food tonight. 2 bread-machine-fulls of dough into calzones (carrot, zuke, butternut, onion filling), 1.25 lasagnes (spinach & mushroom), cavattapi pasta with stir-fry (various leafy greens, onions, black beans, etc). Also got the next batch of calzone dough thru the breadmachine, and toasted the acorn-squash seeds from Friday's roast squash. Surprisingly, I actually managed not to burn them! They are tasty & crunchy & fully edible. I used a trick I read online, which is to soak them for a day or two (or in my case, 4) in salt-water before cooking them.

However, all of this cooking literally put no dent in tonight's farm-share. We were using all previous weeks' ingredients (or in the case of the mushrooms, store-bought). I'm wondering if it might be a good idea to let a desirous friend take one week's bounty, in our place.
