Yes, yes, don't do that
Nov. 23rd, 2008 02:06 amCaught my toe on the sidewalk, heading home (to
brass_rat's) late Thursday night. I managed to recover my balance enough not to hit the ground, but I did hurt my foot. By the end of the nominally-15 minute walk, I was in a lot of pain.
So I called in to work the next day, and got myself to the doctor (with the help of a loaner cane & my car). They X-rayed me right quick, and were able to tell me within an hour that I hadn't broken/chipped anything. The foot was sprained, but not the ankle. The nurse-practitioner gave me a prescription for crutches, and told me to stay off the foot for two days.
So, I am swinging around on my friend's awesome Swedish/German crutches for a while. They have flip-down ice-tips/crampons! (Not that I'm expecting to have to use those)
Man, am I using a lot of muscles differently than I'm used to.
Ok, that's all. Though you might like to know.
