outdoors in the nice weather
May. 9th, 2007 10:05 pmLast Sunday I walked in the Walk for Hunger for the first time. I spotted a Baltimore Oriole, along the Harvard section of Memorial Drive! That was an exciting first, too. I never really believed the guide-books that say they live around here.
I am totally digging the warm weather. In fact, I confirm that we've passed the last of the widely-varying "last frost" dates that I turned up online. So, my fig tree may start getting a nice boost of outdoor sunshine!
I don't trust this New England weather, but I do want to let the poor thing out. My apartment doesn't get very good light (at least not in the areas where there's enough space for the plant).
I'm reminded of the other day, when I was running late out of my apartment on Monday morning. Debating whether to try for the bus, I asked Jonathon what time it is, and he quite rightly replied, "It is too-nice-not-to-walk-to-Alewife o'clock."
