Good customer service on the T
Dec. 19th, 2006 12:42 amSomething very nice happened to me on the T today. Considering my rant of the other day, I think it is only fair to share this, too.
I tried using my 15-c change ticket on a bus today. I figured if I put the change ticket in first, and the dollar bill after, I would get a new, single, change ticket with 25 cents on it. I could use this method to keep my change-ticket count down to a manageable number.
For reasons I don't understand, and could be related to me doing something wrong (was I supposed to remove a cancelled change ticket so it could print a new ticket?), the fare box refused to print my new change ticket.
The bus driver handed me a quarter from his own pocket, when I requested redress.
(I looked up the "Commendation" form on the MBTA site and reported it.)
