I wanna measure mine up too.

Step 1: Put your MP3 player or whatever on random.
Step 2: Post the first line(s) from the first 30 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song.
Step 3: Post and let everyone you know guess what song and artist the lines come from.
Step 4: Bold out the songs when someone guesses correctly.
Step 5: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!
(That goes for you when transcribing the lyrics, as well as for the guessers! Remember: embarassment is no excuse here.)

11. Cat's in the Cradle (Harry Chapin)
12. Only You (Yazoo)
13. Steppin' Out (Electric Light Orchestra)

17. Rip Her to Shreds (Blondie)
18. Moment in the Sun Clem Snide
19. Give Blood (Pete Townshend) -- is this a song or a red cross ad spot? Ah, whatever, both are good!
20. Space Oddity (David Bowie) -- oh, I am turning up all the cheesy semi-novelty stuff tonight :-/
Well this one's lyrics are such a dead give-away, 100% correct title & artist is required.

22. It's All Been Done (Barenaked Ladies)
23. So Far Away (Dire Straits)
24. Haya Nechmad (It's been nice) (Kaveret (aka Poogie))
25. The Happiest Days of Our Lives (Pink Floyd) -- are they always totally incomprehensible?
26. Cat's in The Cradle (Harry Chapin) -- AGAIN??
27. Sunday Girl (Blondie) -- not one of my fave Blondie tunes
28. I Can't Get Next To You (Annie Lennox)
29. N Apostrophe T (Tom Lehrer)

A friend pointed out a nice deal on a new laptop. It's expiring at midnight, but since I haven't found a job yet, I have to let it pass. Maybe you don't though.

(I'm amused to note that Office is not installed, so the computer comes with WordPerfect instead... a program I greatly prefer.)
