I have moved -- amazing
Feb. 10th, 2006 10:14 amI am MUCH farther along in the moving process than I expected to be yet!
Great thanks to all my friends who helped me get this far!
Ethan & Phann who helped me clean the whole place, especially the kitchen (phew! chlorine!).
Dorie & Valerie who packed up great swathes of my old apartment. And Phann for sticking around to unload those into the new place & help me flip the fridge-doors.
I was able to sleep there last night and wake up and have everything I needed -- even breakfast!
(Somehow the electricity & gas are mysteriously on, although no one is paying it that I know of. Wonder if there's cable & data coming down the cables, too? )
I will still need some help with moving large appliances and two or three furniture pieces. Debating with self about which day I perfer to do this, so I can seek help for then. (I will be out of town this weekend, but have things I'd like to go to on all of Sunday and on Monday night, starting at 7. This would suggest Tuesday evening.... but I wonder if that's setting me up for failure :-))
I have to fix the utilities mystery soon: sign up in my name. :-)
Then the dance of remembering to change my address everywhere.
