why my new boss is great, a mini-post
Nov. 24th, 2005 12:49 pmSo on day before Thanksgiving, everyone goes home early. Of course they do. As you may know, I was counting on this, to plan my own leaving for home. (Hadn't been there long enough to know what early-time is generally reasonable and what is too early.)
On Wednesday, around lunch time, the QA manager stopped by our QA alley. She came by to say we should all go home early.
"I always wanted someone to officially say that to me," she explained, "and I realized now that I'm a manager, I can do it." She'd be leaving at 3, and we should leave with clear consciences whenever we were going to.
It's a nice touch.
I entered all my bugs and left at 4:28 via route 2.
