Nov. 8th, 2005 01:44 amWent to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat this weekend with a friend. The lead (Joseph, duh) was some actor Patrick Cassidy . The guy leaps into view out of a fountain of stage-smoke, and -- although I'm not usually this judgemental -- my first thought was "This is the guy they chose to give the line "I look handsome, I look smart..." to?"
(OK, the first thought was actually, wow they managed to make the smoke fountain thick enough that I really couldn't catch a glimpse until he stepped thru.)
But, all the people in the world they could have cast, and this was the one they chose?
... then he took his shirt off.
