that was nice
May. 6th, 2005 11:27 pmAfter E Ch, walked down the block to Kresge to play with the "light sculpture" (White Light/White Noise). Then I walked back.
It was good. Taking the walk was very good, and the sculpture was pretty neat. I had been hoping for a dark quiet and deserted square, but there was instead a good-natured fair sort of vibe. Kids chasing each other around in nobody's way; no crowds, but no empty spots either. Pairs and triplets of people, wandering in parallel. Not to clear to describe. Nothing unpleasant. I'm glad it was like this.
I had to sing to myself a lot on the way back.

The challah they had this week was the best I've ever tasted there. It could hold its own among my lifetime best-challah recollections. They told me it was from "Hi Rise Bakery" --- I shall try that out myself.
