Heat Death :-( :-( :-(
Nov. 15th, 2004 01:27 amWhy oh why must my bedroom heat be so over-achieving? Set to 70, it's about 85-90 in my little bedroom. I wake up fearful of combusted pillows.
I like the cold. I am happy to sleep in a cold bedroom. Waking up overheated makes me feel sick all morning.
If I turn down the thermostat, the pipes freeze. If I complain to Maurice, he tells me that plenty of people don't have enough heat, and moreover have to pay for it -- which is all true but he utterly refuses to appreciate that "too much of a good thing" can be bad, too. He remembers that I had this problem before; he reproaches me not to freeze the heat again this year. :-(
Anyone with more confidence in their plumbing skills want to come over and bypass some of the wall-radiator heat-pipes for me? Seriously.
