hippie1025 for taking me to the Jamaica Plain Rocky Horror Show. Notice the lack of "Picture"? This was the stage musical version!
FUN!!
This version was remarkably similar to the movie version, but all of the references to cinema lack the self-referential circularity when there is no movie screen at the heart of the stage... which was odd. I'm aware that the play was actually made first, thus making the movie just a remarkably faithful adaptation, but in my head the movie is the canonical version.
(And "Refuah Shlema" to Dan, whose ticket I used.)
