A motorcycle cut me off today. I was stopped at a light, and I know he was just behind me because I turned around to see whose radio music I was hearing. The motorcycle was the vehicle immediately behind me. He had a full spot in traffic. About half a minute before the light turned, though, he pulled up, in between me and the car in the next lane. As soon as the light turned, he zoomed ahead, and cheekily pulled into my lane (the left lane). I was offended.
This makes me think of as discussion we had while slacking off in lab about Segways: Just how often do you think a rider on a funny (expensive!) gyroscope can beep at pedestrians not walking a 5-minute mile before somebody turns around and pegs them one? My guess -- not too long. Although I think it would be a boon to be able to tell other traffic-members what you think of their actions without having to simplify it all into the minimal-semantic-content of the honk/don't honk choice. You could shout and them and they'd hear you, or make a face they could see.
