update circa thanksgiving
Nov. 27th, 2002 04:18 amI will be driving home Wednesday join my family for Thanksgiving. We will be leaving the next morning for Pennsylvania, where we shall visit my grandmother for the holiday.
At long last it has begun to snow, and is predicted to continue through the morning. As I walked back to my dorm, I heard the faint hiss of small, wet snowflakes landing. I was surprised by the sound, because I had forgotten snow can do that. Although I will have to drive in it, I am very pleased by the snowfall.
I've been anticipating this Thanksgiving with something mildly like dread. We do not have a tradition of Thanksgiving with my grandmother (which, in the condition she is, must mean thanksgiving with my aunt). I don't know what to expect, and I really wish that I did. That has actually been adding to my stress-level for the past week or so, but now I am relaxing. It will be fine, I'm sure, or even good!
Now all that I have left to stress about is my finals for school. ;-)
On the last day before I go back to campus, Dana and Mike will be visiting me on their way back to PA from Boston. Looking forward to that is very happymaking.
