more of my good month
Running late for shabbat services turned into an unanticipated but perfect shabbat dinner at home. Guests: Bonnie, David, Hilary, Scott, James, Jonathon, myself, and Shabbat! Menu: mostly-farmshare salad with the "house" dressing, tofu & sweet potato tikka masala, potato perogies with sauteed onions & sweet-peppers, fruit salad, chocolate babke w/ plain yogurt & honey, herbal tea.
Bonnie & I sang thru a pleasurable Kabbalat Shabbat, while Jonathon (after he arrived from shul) took over the remaining food prep. The rest of our guests arrived together at Lecha Dodi. (The second-to-last verse, so the Shechina had a chance to take off her snow-boots before we greeted her!)
It was just what I wanted :-)
