wordlists, lab stuff
Jun. 19th, 2003 03:59 pmSo I finished Krystal's wordlist experiment today. I asked her and she assured me that no words were repeated from list to list. I would have sworn that certain ones were! Well, it is done now, and she has a mass of data, and that is good. I've enjoyed it, so I might read her thesis on the study.
I guess this makes me open for Igor's study now. He's nice, and the screenshots I've seen in Lab Meeting look attractive, but I harbor bad memories of my first "virtual reality navigation" psych experiment -- the one freshman year that made me nauseous from the bad refresh rate.
My code is nearly finished now, the expanded version, and this satisfies me. I'm going to start poking around more of other people's work soon, see what they are doing. Yesterday, I confirmed with one of the lab professors that the data I had from the first professor was NOT what he was claiming it was. So, I'll keep working with it, but I am relaxing a bit about its poor fit.
I'm enjoying work more.
