New Phone!

Got my new phone today.
It was much less painful than I expected, thanks partly to phonescoop.com and mostly to an excellent salesman named Scott. He was very informative and easy to work with. I especially liked how comfortably he swapped to paying attention to the other customers as I pored over the phones and read the price-sheets. (Plus he just handed over the price-sheet! SO WONDERFUL!)
I'm expecting good things from this phone. It felt nice in my hand, and does all the things I wanted it to do (except my lamented vibe-then-ring mode). Scott-the-associate texted me an mp3 file to the floor model & I could set it as a ringtone.
One thing that seems a little dumb is that this phone highlights its music-player nature, yet "ringtones" are extremely segregated from "music". I'd think one file could be both! Whatever.
(I checked and I can lock the glowy touch sensitive play/ff/rew buttons located on the outside front. Good.)
The other thing that I think's regrettable about the phone is that I can't customize the layout much. I can choose to have the main menu appear as a 3x3 grid of icons rather than a scrolling list... but I can't re-arrange which icon is in which position. I could do that on my previous, now-dead, phone and I really appreciated it.
One thing I am really looking forward to is the calendar tool. It looks actually USABLE. Not to say for sure I will use it... but I could if I wanted to. (Couldn't say that about my previous one's brain-dead version.)
Got my contacts imported and was extremely relieved to see that the "hidden" ones transferred thru with no problem.
If anyone has an old charger they think might work for this phone, could you let me know?
And if anyone would be interested in one or two narrow-plug Motorola chargers, I don't expect to need mine any more.
After buying phone, I biked on to Home Depot and clothes shopping. Yay for owning more shorts!
Then I took a leisurely way back, via lovely paved path along the Mystic River, and back roads in West Medford.
